Ok I found a video of this show on line today and was once again blown away by the power of the internet ... Now my recollection of what happened, and
...
I was there and I was on this tour from Philly all the way to the BCT's, I graduated high school the year before and was wayward and on tour and well anyway what we were talking about after the show was that sometime late in the show, Bill was hit by a bottle and was totally angry and flipped off the crowd and that was why they left the stage ... In fact, I don't remember the encore because we left after the Dew and I never thought they returned to the stage .. And yes the drugs were heavy that tour... My recollection was there was an apology card going around the lot the next day that was later presented to Bill ... I cannot find any confirmation of this and who knows man... Tour news wasn't so reliable those days ...

I wrote my review over on Dead.net but this show means a great deal to me for many reasons.
It's was the last Lost Sailor. It was my favorite Halfstep. ... It was a night where all the stars were in alignment for me to have the best experience possible.
The Dew is historical.

I had great seats front row riser Phil side 1/3 of the way back. This is an excellent recording of the concert and a really fun show. This was a very drug-fueled

run of Philly shows. Spring break 1986.
The energy this night got a little violent. From what I witnessed was an invasion of goons took over the front rows that started roughing up all the spring break college kids. They saw that down in front and split after the Morning Dew. We heard some kid got their ribs broken. I'm not lying.
The next night Jerry sings "stranger's stopping strangers just to BREAK their hands" go listen there's an awesome soundboard from 3-25.
what a great run! One of my very favorites. This is an excellent first set with Box of Rain Dire Wolf Brother Esau etc, great songs. Yippee!

I saw only one song after space once at my first show (9-02-78). But what does only one song after space have to do with us bombing Lybia? Remember that
...
we never heard from Lybia again after we did that! It certainly shut up Khadafi.

the crowd boo's for more music. well as those of us that would follow them to every show knew we the USA had bombed libya that day. unexcpected to say
...
the least. Thats why we got MORNING DEW only after drums and space. FYI Because They were into the current events. can still recall after the show at the hilton near by turning on TV and hearing the news. FYI Morning Dew is about nuclear BOMB ( by Rose in the 50's) I guess it doesn't matter anyway......
